When will Illuvium be released?
The developers are working rapidly to build the game, and the anticipated release date for the Open Beta is in late Q3 or Q4 2021.

What are $ILV and $sILV?
Two tokens drive the action and, quite literally, the game-play in the Illuvium universe and economy. $sILV is a Synthetic ILV token and can be used as in-game currency for things like enhancements, skins, and emotes. It can be earned by staking $ILV in the protocol. The $ILV token is used for governance (meaning anyone holding the token can vote on proposals that improve the game), yield (staking ILV gives access to yield farming pools), and distributions (as players spend ETH in the game those tokens are used to buy more ILV on the market and distribute them to the staked token holders).

Is Illuvium Free-to-Play?
You begin our game with a free-to-play experience that immerses you in our richly-detailed world, lets you enjoy some action, and helps you understand how the game works. The free-to-play experience will familiarize you with Illuvium, and won’t feel like an “abridged” version of the game. It is a full-fledged game-play experience, so you can decide to opt in to the paid experience and start collecting NFTs, and delve into deeper adventures to explore the mysteries of the game.

What are the Play-to-Earn aspects of Illuvium?
Illuvium’s play to earn features might be its most exciting. Players can earn in-game yield through competitions and tournaments, or completing PVE quests. More details will be released over time.
Illuvium is not P2W. There are two separate PVP Arenas:
Ranked Arena: In ranked arena all levels, enhancements and boosts will be normalized for fairness. If you own the 1st stage of an illuvial, then their higher stage forms will be unlocked for you to use in ranked arena.
Leviathan Arena: This is where whales will duke it out with no limits. All levels, enhancements and boosts will remain intact. This arena, is pay to win and for whales or hardcore grinders. -
What is the gameplay like?
Illuvium is a collectible NFT RPG game and auto-battler rolled into one. There is an open-world RPG experience in the overworld, where you mine, harvest, capture, and fight Illuvials. Once you have assembled your team you can join the fray in the autobattler where you strategically build your teams to beat your opponents in battle. The Illuvials possess unique stats, classes, and affinities. The synergy of your team—based on how you match their strengths and compensate for weaknesses—could mean a winning streak for you.
