Ethermon is one of the first Ethereum-based blockchain games to create interactive non-fungible tokens (NFTs), allowing players to own, improve, use, and profit from their in-game virtual assets. Originally launched as Etheremon in 2017, the current upgraded version was relaunched in 2019 by its most dedicated players and an expanded team.
Your objective is to collect Ether Mons (or Mons, for short) to participate in a growing range of play-to-earn game modes — from the 2D RPG on the official website to a full-fledged 3D MMORPG in Decentraland’s metaverse.
Since 2017, the developers have offered interactive 2D RPG game modes on their website, such as PVP auto-battle tournaments you can play in your browser. Since Q2 2021, they launched cross-platform gameplay in Decentraland, allowing you to interact with your Mons in 3D and participate in PVE battles across the metaverse.
Ethermon 2D RPG
Since 2017, the developers have offered an evolving range of interactive 2D RPG game modes on the Ethermon website. Currently, players can choose from two options: PvP battle ladder tournaments and Adventures.
Ethermon 3D MMORPG in Decentraland
Since 2020, the team also has been developing an extensive 3D MMPORG version of Ethermon for cross-platform gameplay in Decentraland. Several forms of gameplay are already active, revolving around Ethermon Metas and PvE battles.
AR/VR Ethermon Mobile Game
Coming early next year, another game in the Ethermon universe has been announced and is targeting mobile users with a AR/VR version which lets players spawn Ethermons in the real world.
